Ginny slammed and locked the door to Lumos behind her, before turning and attempting to walk away from the lying and endlessly persistant wanker, otherwise known as a reporter, trailing her.
"You said you wanted to interview me about Hogsmeade being rebuilt - about the new businesses in town."
Fists clenched, she shoved them into the pockets of her cloak in an attempt to keep them away from the face that wouldn't go away. Not getting what felt like the eighty upteenth hint, he continued to pelt her with questions about him. She had tried, honestly tried, to be professional, to redirect his attention and the direction of the interview to the shop, to her designs. Bloody hell, she had even tried to direct his attention to her own low cut blouse. Not that he was an attractive man - he actually resembled a hairy wart in a bad set of robes, but anything to stop his questions about him. None of it worked. Her last ditch effort was to end the interview and walk away. Mum is always saying I need to learn to turn the other cheek.
Nothing was working. The reporter kept following, the questions kept coming, and Ginny's anger kept rising. By the time they made it to Three Broomsticks, Ginny was in dire need of a firewhiskey. She spun on a heel to face the suddenly cowering figure of the wart-like man, her face rapidly matching her red hair.
"Yes! I did date Harry Potter! For a whole bloody two weeks in fifth year!"
She stepped closer to the now frozen man.
"No! I haven't seen him since he's come back!"
Another step closer.
"No! I'm not telling you if he was a good kisser and I could care less how many witches across the land want to know!"
A final step and she was red face to drained pale face.
"And the chances that we'll rekindle our unrequited young love are about as slim as me dating Severus Snape!"
She was hovering over him now. He looked like he was about to piss himself.
"And if you call me Ginevra one more time," She pulled her wand and pointed it at the shrinking man, "You'll find out the real reason why he left!"
Ginny tucked her wand back into her cloak, shaking her head and chuckling under her breath as she watched the wart run away faster than she thought he was capable. She pulled the door to The Three Broomsticks open and walked inside.
